Polls will be open noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday for city elections. Voters in Washington will decide who will be the next mayor and council members from Wards 2, 4, and at-large.

Current Mayor Sandra Johnson decided to not seek re-election; Pete Schaefer and current councilman Jaron Rosien are in the contested race. There are also contested races in Kalona, Riverside, and Wellman. Residents may also vote early in person at the Washington County Courthouse.
