The Lone Tree girls basketball team will seek their third consecutive winning season with plenty of newcomers leading the charge.
The Lions are coming off of a successful 18-6 season but saw five players graduate including their top two scorers, facilitators, and rebounders. Madison Forbes and Elena Sieverding are a couple of those players who will need to be replaced averaging a combined 27 points per game a year ago. Senior Riley Warson will look to fill the void being the top returner in many categories including averaging five points and three rebounds a game last year. Emily Feldman is the top rebounder from last season with 84, that translates to 3.5 per game. Warson and Feldman are among five seniors who will lead the team including Sydney Alt, Karli Burr, and Marisa Swails. The Lions will look to keep up their reputation of being a defensive team, as last year they only gave up an average of 33 points per game.
The Lions start up their season on Monday traveling to Danville.
