The Lone Tree girls’ basketball team takes it to the court for the first time this season traveling to Danville.

The Lions will look to continue their success that a year ago finishing the year 18-6. They will need to reload losing their top two scorers, rebounders, and facilitators to graduation. Riley Warson is the top returning scoring averaging five points per game by shooting 27% from the field last season. Emily Feldman will need to clean up the boards, coming off of a season where she averaged four per game. The Lions’ shot 37% from the floor as a team last year.

The Bears are coming off of a successful season as well, finishing 14-10. Danville brings back a good core including the leading scorer and rebounder. Senior McKenzie Speer average seven points per contest at a 35% clip. Alyssa Pfadenhauer returns averaging seven points and seven rebounds.

The Lions and Bears clash at 6 p.m. tonight at Danville High School.
