Only one item is on the agenda for Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting and it has to do with county buildings.
The supervisors will consider action regarding hiring an architect for a feasibility study for a new communications building. The county is currently working to upgrade all of its emergency communications equipment so that it is up to industry standards.
Along with upgrading equipment, the county is looking at options to house all of it. Problems with the current communications facility include mold, plumbing, electrical, and security issues. An estimate for a technology building for communications reported at an August meeting was $1 million. The meeting Tuesday begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
