The Lone Tree dance team competed in three events at the Iowa State Dance Team Championships in Des Moines earlier this month.

The Lions finished seventh in the state out of nine schools for the class I lyrical with 243 points. Lone Tree was sixth out of 10 teams in the class I jazz competition with 242 points. They took ninth place out of 11 teams in the class II pom competition with 246 points.

All three groups received the highest rating possible, a division I.
