The Washington High School archery team continued their dominance this past weekend winning their home tournament.
The Demons took home first place for the second tournament in a row with 3324 points. In the three-team tournament Mount Vernon placed second with 3244 points. Braeden Duwa and Samantha Mellinger led the way for the Demons with identical scores of 293 and 23 bullseyes. Duwa placed first out of 43 high school boys and Mellinger was first out of 46 high school girls. Kylee Porter also cracked the top three placing third with a score of 286 and 20 bullseyes. Other Demons scoring include Hannah Frame with 278, Cody Mellinger with 278, Anna Miller with 276, Bryan Martin with 276, Paige Hyde with 274, Cooper Reed with 273, and Samantha Frana with 271.
The Demons are off until January 27th when they travel to Cardinal for a tournament.
