Washington County was on display at the state capitol this week and soon will be on the big screen in Greece.
The documentary Saving Brinton, which follows local historian Michael Zahs as he preserves and shares some of the world’s oldest films that once belonged to Frank and Indiana Brinton of Washington, is being recognized. On Monday, the documentary was slated to be shown to the state legislature, but due to debates in each chamber legislators were unable to attend. The film was shown to the head of cultural affairs, staff people, and board members of other state agencies.
It was announced Wednesday that Saving Brinton had been selected to be part of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece later this month.
