Washington County was one of just 12 in the state to average at least 60 bushels per acre for soybean yields in 2017.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the state average was 56.5 bushels per acre and Washington County had an average of 61.2. The highest yield was Sioux County with an average yield of 64.6 bushels per acre and the lowest was Van Buren County at 36.2 bushels per acre.
