The No. 13 ranked Iowa Mennonite boys soccer team is back on the pitch tonight when they travel to West Burlington Notre Dame for a Superconference match.
IMS opened the season with a 3-1 win Tuesday over Holy Trinity Catholic behind a pair of goals from Isaiah Swantz and one from Jacob Boller.
West Burlington Notre Dame is 5-1 entering play tonight after a win over Highland on Tuesday. The Falcons are led on the season by Jakob Anderson and his 10 goals. Sturgis Thorton has the team lead with four assists on the season. In goal, freshman Caden Murphy has made 30 saves with an 83% save percentage on the year.
These two teams met twice a year ago with West Burlington Notre Dame winning 2-1 in the first matchup and IMS getting the split with a 5-1 win in the Superconference Tournament. Action begins tonight at 5p.m. in West Burlington.
