A Brighton woman was arrested on pretrial release violation for 16 original charges.
According to the Washington County Communications Office, Tuesday at 3:02 p.m. a deputy was at the jail to serve the warrant on 29-year-old Ashley L. Seaba, who was already in the Washington County Jail. Original charges included dominion or control of a firearm or weapon by a domestic abuse offender, three counts of possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, controlled substance violation, possession of marijuana, possession of cannabidiol, theft in the fourth degree, and seven counts of unlawful possession of a prescription drug. Bond was set at $25,000.
At 8 p.m. Jefferson County Officials notified local authorities that they also had a warrant for Seaba. It was for violation of pretrial release on an original charge of theft in the first degree with bond at $12,000. Extradition arrangements will be made. She is now in the Washington County Jail.
In January, Seaba had a warrant served relating to a theft of guns that happened in 2015 in Ainsworth where a rifle and pistol were stolen.
