The KCII Severe Weather Action Team brought live coverage of a severe thunderstorm warning Monday evening.

The warning was issued by the National Weather Service at about 8:30 p.m. and expired at 8:53 p.m. for Washington County. The warning was for southeastern Washington County, northern Henry County, northern Jefferson County, and southwestern Louisa County in southeastern Iowa. Lightning and thunder were reported in the City of Washington. Approximately three-tenths of an inch of rain fell in Washington Monday. Three members of the KCII Severe Weather Action Team brought you live coverage, and had the power gone out KCII would stay on air with our emergency back up generators.
