Approximately 500 tractors will tour Washington County over four days for the 19th Annual Tractorcade.
Each year the organization picks a county to visit and tour. Washington Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinator Alisha Davis explains how the tour will go, “So they have a route and they’ll be going to Riverside one day, Keota, Wellman, Kalona. They’ll be visiting Sigourney, West Chester, Richland, Brighton, Rubio. They’ll go down to Lake Darling, so they’ll be all over the county.” She adds it’s a chance to showcase what Washington County has to offer, “I’m just excited to share just all of the little things we have to offer, like our retailers, our restaurants. Just all the scenic routes they’re going to be seeing, I think it’ll be a great way to get people to visit again. So, just excited to host them and show what Washington has.” Most of the participants will stay overnight at the Washington County Fairgrounds. They’ll arrive Sunday, June 10th, and leave Wednesday afternoon, June 13th.
