The Highland Husky softball team takes to the postseason tonight, as they hit the road to take on Superconference foe Wapello in the second round of district play.

The Huskies split the season series with Wapello.  They lost their first matchup against the Indians on the road back on June 1 by a 5-1 score.  Then, exactly four weeks later, the Huskies bounced back with a huge 11-3 victory at home to cap off their seniors’ Riverside careers.

Barring an upset of biblical proportions in the bracket above them, winner of the Highland-Wapello game will likely go on to face Louisa-Muscatine in the semifinal round.  The Huskies have not been able to plate a run against the Falcons this season.

First pitch from Wapello is set for 7:00 p.m.
