Congressman Dave Loebsack (D) met with local veterans in Washington Tuesday.

Loebsack held one of a series of workshops for veterans and their families across Iowa’s Second District at the Washington Public Library. Loebsack shares why he holds these workshops around the Fourth of July, “You know we often celebrate what our veterans do for our country on Memorial Day or certainly on Veterans Day, but not enough times do we do it on the Fourth of July I think when we celebrate the independence of our country and our veterans have kept us independent I believe over the years.”

This is the seventh annual “Serving Those Who Served” workshop, in which veterans and their families can seek assistance from Loebsack on issues they are having with the Veterans Administration or any other federal agency, and share their thoughts on any issues affecting them.
