“Be Prepared” for the “Circle of Life” when a new feline claims the throne in The Lion King in Washington’s Central Park.
The second movie of the season for the Movies on Main Street program is this Friday. Main Street Washington Director Sarah Grunewaldt invites everyone to enjoy the movie, “We’ll have free popcorn from the I-Smile program again this summer, which is really fun and exciting, but we’ll also have boxed candy and drinks for purchase, again it benefits Main Street. Bring a lawn chair, bring a blanket. Dress for the weather, sometimes it gets a little chilly after dark, but we turn the park lights off and the screen is right on the bandstand with the great sound system, and pretty much anywhere you sit you’ve got a good seat to see the movie.” The movies are held the first Friday of June, July, and August. Mark your calendar’s for Augusts’s film – Coco. The concession stand opens at 8 p.m. and the movie begins at 8:30 p.m., join Simba, Nala, Pumba, Timon, and Scar this Friday.
