The defending division volleyball co-champs in the Southeast Iowa Superconference meet Thursday night at Hillcrest Union in Kalona when Iowa Mennonite School welcomes Mediapolis.

IMS comes into the match with a record of 5-4 on the year and a four match winning streak. Last time out they swept Louisa-Muscatine on the road Tuesday. For the year IMS is led individually by Rubye Ney with 50 kills, fifth in the Superconference. Sami Miller has the team lead and is ninth in the conference with 41 assists. Defensively Suzanna Yoder paces IMS and is second in the conference with 94 digs.

Mediapolis comes into the match with an overall record of 3-3. They swept Highland in straight sets Tuesday. The Bullettes are led on the year by Helaina Hillyard with 30 kills, eighth most in the Superconference. Maya Johnson has 63 assists, sixth most in the conference and Mackenzie Springsteen’s 56 digs are best on the team and eighth in the league. These two teams met a year ago with the Bullettes sweeping IMS. Action begins tonight at 7:30 at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.
