The Columbus, Highland, Keota, Lone Tree, Sigourney and WACO cross country teams all took to the course on Thursday for the Keota invitational, and there was some success all around.
On the boys’ side, Lone Tree took first in team scores with 38 points. Sigourney came in second with 60, followed by Columbus in third and WACO in fourth. Individually, Sigourney’s Mason Moore and Tristin Bell took first and fourth, respectively. Jonah Egli of WACO came in third, and Lone Tree’s Alberto Cortez rounded out the top five.
Sigourney, Highland and Columbus took second, third and fourth in team scores on the girls’ side of things. Lone Tree did not have enough competitors to have a team score, but two of their runners, Marie Bopp and Natalie Patterson, took second and third individually. Other area top ten finishers included Highland’s Madison Thomman and Taylor Sublette in seventh and eighth, Keota’s Paige Thompson in ninth, and Anna Hamilton of Columbus at tenth.
