A pair of KCII area teams will face off tonight in Keota when Iowa Mennonite School visits the Eagles.
IMS enters play with an 0-1 record after opening the year with a 73-30 loss to No. 10 Lynnville-Sully on Friday. In that game, IMS shot just eight of 52 from the floor. They were led by Suzanna Yoder with a 24 point game. She also had four steals and four assists in the loss to the Hawks. Yoder led all of Iowa in class 1A a year ago scoring 22 points per game. Yani Gutierrez pulled in 13 rebounds.
Keota comes into tonight off of a 57-47 loss to Highland Friday. The Eagles led the Huskies 33-28 at the break but were outscored 20-3 in the fourth quarter.
These two teams met in a thriller in the playoffs a season ago with IMS topping the Eagles 37-36 on an Alyssa Hershberger layup in the final three seconds.
