The Columbus girls’ basketball team fell to Louisa-Muscatine in their season opener, 68-19.
L&M got out to a big lead early on, scoring 52 of their 68 points in the first two quarters. The third quarter saw only five points allowed from the Wildcats defensively, and they gave up 11 in the fourth. The Wildcats did not score more than seven points in a quarter.
Their next contest comes on Tuesday when they host 14th-ranked Mediapolis.
