In interviews a lot of time is spent talking about leadership, primarily from seniors.
In a game heard on KCII Tuesday night at West Liberty, the Mid-Prairie girls basketball team got action from one of their senior leaders in a 54-40 win. The Golden Hawks started the game on a 10-0 run and never trailed. West Liberty would get as close as 28-20 midway through the second frame but the Hawks took a 37-22 lead into the break, would push that lead to as many as 17 in the second half and cruise to the win. One of the big reasons why was a monster double double from Shae Becker who finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 11 of 12 from the floor. With the win, Mid-Prairie is 2-0 on the season as they travel to Tipton Friday.
