The Washington wrestling team competed in three duels at Iowa Valley last night, taking on Benton Community, HLV and Iowa Valley, winning all three.

It was a dominant performance for Demon wrestlers, with six of them going unbeaten throughout the three duels: Caden Evans in the 106 weight class, Matt Collett at 113, Walker Ikerd at 126, Garrett Ikerd at 138, Ayden Frazier at 160, and Tristin Westphal-Edwards at 182 (who, oddly enough, only actually wrestled once, as he won via forfeit against HLV and Benton Community).

As far as team scores go, Washington beat Benton 46.0-24.0, Iowa Valley 42.0-24.0, and handily beat HLV 62.0-6.0.  HLV’s only points came via forfeit in the 170 weight class, as Washington did not wrestle anyone.

Their next action comes at home Thursday when they welcome Davenport Assumption and Mediapolis to town.  That meet is slated to start at 6:00.
