The Highland Huskies and Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks were on the mat Saturday at the North Linn Lynx Varsity Invitational.
Highland had the higher finish of the two area teams, taking eighth of 13 teams with 84 points. The Huskies crowned a pair of champions on the day with Brady Hahn taking the title at 145lbs by 3-2 decision over Joel Grimes of North Fayette Valley. Dan Burton was also a champion at 170lbs, winning the title by fall over Jasper Luckritz of Clinton. Cory Stewart was also third at 152lbs.
The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks were 10th of 13 teams with 76 points. Isaac Boucher led the way for the Hawks at 220lbs finishing as runner-up. Cael Garvey was also third at 160lbs.
