A vehicle stolen in Wellman in 2015 was recovered in Louisa County over the weekend. According to the Washington County Communications Office, a Columbus Junction Police Officer was out with a stolen vehicle from Washington County at 3:15 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the owner was notified.

The vehicle was reported to authorities as stolen on January 31, 2015. At that time, a woman told officers that her ex-husband wouldn’t return her truck, and he claimed it had been stolen three weeks earlier. The vehicle had been due to be repossessed and the man had left the keys in it to be picked up. The repossession company had no record of the truck being picked up. The Chevrolet Silverado was then listed as stolen.
