Updates to the Mid-Prairie High School library will soon be complete with a fully functional cafe.
The library has received a makeover with new furniture and seating. The final addition to the project, which began last spring, is to have a cafe run by Mid-Prairie special education students. Superintendent Mark Schneider says the cafe should be finished over winter break. Schneider says the cafe will help students gain valuable work experience and will be able to help graduates ease into the workforce. The cafe will serve coffee and pastries and will be open to students and members of the community, during the school day.
