The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team is back on the mat tonight when they travel to West Liberty for a River Valley Conference quadrangular against the Comets, Durant and Wilton.

The Golden Hawks come into action at 7-12 on the year. They placed 10th at the WACO tournament on Saturday, in dual action Thursday they won two of three at North Cedar, beating the Knights and Cascade before falling to Anamosa.

Durant comes in with a dual record of 1-15. Mid-Prairie met the Wildcats twice a season ago, beating them 42-10 and 66-12.

Wilton comes into the evening with an overall record of 22-3 on the year. The Beavers have a pair of ranked wrestlers in their lineup according to thepredicament.com. Kael Brisker is ranked No. 7 at 106lbs and Cory Anderson checks in at No. 7 at 145lbs. The Golden Hawks and the Beavers met earlier this year with Wilton taking a 48-30 win.

West Liberty comes into the with a dual record of 17-2. The Comets have three ranked wrestlers in their lineup with Will Esmoil at No. 5 in 2A at 145lbs, Coy Ruess No. 8 at 152lbs and Austin Beaver No. 9 at 160lbs. West Liberty beat Mid-Prairie in their lone meeting a season ago 81-0.

Action begins tonight at 5:30 at West Liberty High School.
