An updated operational sharing agreement between the Highland and Lone Tree school districts will go into place next school year. Last year, the two districts agreed to share four positions; superintendent, transportation director, human resource manager, and maintenance director. In December, the Lone Tree School Board approved a three-year agreement to keep sharing those positions, which Highland’s board passed on Monday. The only change to the agreement is the amount of time Superintendent Ken Crawford will spend at each district.
Currently, Crawford spends four days a week at Lone Tree and one day at Highland. With this new agreement, he will be splitting his time equally between the two districts. The other three positions will continue to spend 80% of their time at Highland and 20% at Lone Tree.
