Snow and frigidly cold temperatures are expected in southeast Iowa. The National Weather Service’s hazardous weather outlook for this weekend shows that a larger storm system will likely produce widespread accumulating snow across the area from Friday afternoon through Saturday. Strong, gusty winds are possible with this storm system which may cause drifting snow as an added hazard. It will be followed by cold temperatures and wind chills from Saturday night through Monday. At this time, the exact path of the system and its strength are somewhat uncertain. Wear layers to stay warm and listen to KCII for weather updates.
