The Washington basketball teams will take to the road tonight, traveling to Ottumwa for a doubleheader against the Bulldogs.
The girls come in at 6-7 on the season after going 1-3 to start off the new year. Isabel Bailey has turned it on of late, averaging just under 10 points per game since the Christmas break.
The boys are coming fresh off a four-point loss to Fairfield on Thursday night, which moved them to 4-7 on the year. They’re led in scoring by Cade Hennigan and Trevor Quigley, each averaging 10.2 points per game.
Tonight’s doubleheader will be at Evans Middle School in Ottumwa with the girls game starting at 6:15.
