
The Iowa Mennonite girls basketball team travels south Friday to meet Burlington, Notre Dame in the 2019 edition of the Southeast Iowa Superconference girls shoot out.
Both teams finished in sixth place in their respective divisions of the Superconference. The IMS girls come into the game with an overall record of 7-9, last time out, IMS was beaten by Wapello 57-41 as Yani Gutierrez led the way with 19 points. On the year IMS is led by Suzanna Yoder who leads class 1A scoring 26 points per game. Her 64 assists are best on the team and 10th in 1A. Gutierrez leads IMS on the glass with 102 rebounds, 10th in the Superconference.
Burlington Notre Dame enters play with an overall record of 7-8. In their last contest they fell to Mount Pleasant 42-41 on Monday. Taylor Ackerman led the Nikes with 12 points. For the year Notre Dame is led by Katy Stephens at 11 points per game, 10th in the Superconference south. Stephens is also best on the glass with 105 rebounds, sixth in the Superconference south. Ackerman has the team lead with 50 assists, fifth in the Superconference south.
