The Sigourney boys and girls basketball teams are busy Tuesday night hosting a doubleheader. 

The Sigourney girls will face off with Pekin while the Sigourney boys draw Iowa Mennonite. The Lady Savages come into the game with an overall record of 16-3, last time out they beat Albia Monday 60-26. On the year the Savages are led by Megan Stuhr, scoring 15 points per game, fourth in the South Iowa Cedar League. Summer Barthelman has the team lead and is eighth in the SICL with 42 assists. Kaylee Weber has pulled in a team best 90 rebounds.

Pekin comes into the night with an overall record of 13-3. Last time out they fell to Van Buren 45-40. On the season the Panthers are led by Haley Gambell and her 13 points per game, eighth best in the Southeast Iowa Superconference. Gambell is also best on the team with 114 rebounds. Zoey Wright leads the Panthers with 83 assists, third in the conference.

The Sigourney boys come into tonight’s action with an overall record of 9-9. On the season, the Savages are led by Dustin Haines at 17 points per game, third in the SICL. Ben House is best on the team and sixth in the conference with 42 assists while Kyle Weber leads the Savages on the glass with 82 rebounds.

The Iowa Mennonite boys enter play with an overall mark of 11-6. IMS beat up on Winfield-Mt. Union Monday 68-26 behind 16 points from Trevor Leyden. On the season IMS is led by Eli Ours at 14 points per game, 10th in the Southeast Iowa Superconference. Caleb Gingerich has the team lead with 83 assists third in the conference while Jeremy Niemeyer has pulled in a team best 106 rebounds, sixth in the league.
