The Keota girls’ basketball team will see their first action of the postseason on Thursday, hosting English Valleys.
Keota finished their regular season with an overall record of 8-12, an improvement of five wins from a season ago. They’re led in scoring by senior Addison Sprouse, who boasts an average of 12.9 points per game. Paige Thompson leads the way on the glass with 134 total rebounds, which is good for top five in the South Iowa Cedar League.
The Eagles have seen English Valleys once before, winning a tight one at their place by a 41-36 score. Thompson and Sprouse led the Eagles to victory, scoring 15 and 11 points, respectively.
Thursday night’s game, weather permitting, is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
