There were four wrecks in five hours in Washington County Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. Ice and sleet fell in Washington County Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. At 11:49 p.m. a car went in the ditch in the 1900 block of Larch Avenue and the driver was given a ride to his residence in Keota by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. At 11:57 p.m. a vehicle went into the ditch and flipped near the intersection of 330th Street and Wayland Road. There were no injuries and the driver received a ride home. At 1:06 a.m. a straight truck was sitting in the roadway unable to move due to road conditions in the 2800 grid of 305th Street near Crawfordsville. At 4:36 a.m. a pole was knocked over by a car at the Highway 218 ramp in Riverside. There were no injuries and the driver was given a safe ride. Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Washington County Ambulance, Riverside QRS, and Riverside Fire Department assisted at the scene.
