Three suspects have been arrested following a shooting that sent two people to the hospital in rural Louisa County. According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Michael Anthony Enriquez, 26-year-old Avarlo Escobar Jr., and 20-year-old Julio Cesar Menjivar III, all of Muscatine, were arrested Wednesday in connection with a February 3rd shooting. The shooting occurred Sunday morning in the area of 172nd Street and 93rd Avenue. The two victims were transported by ambulance to the Muscatine Hospital, where they were later released.

Both Enriquez and Menjivar III have been charged with burglary in the first degree and felony willful injury, and are being held at the Louisa County Jail on a $100,000 bond. Escobar Jr. has been charged with burglary in the first degree and felony willful injury and is being held at the Louisa County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office was aided in the investigation by police departments from Columbus Junction and Muscatine, as well as the Muscatine Drug Task Force.
