A Kalona man wanted on a Washington County warrant was arrested at his father’s residence in Kalona Tuesday morning. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 10:21 a.m. dispatch received a call that 35-year-old Steve Watkinson was out of control, throwing things around, in the 100 block of 6th Street. Authorities responded and arrested Watkinson for burglary in the third degree – motor vehicle, theft in the fifth degree, and failure to appear for trial on an original charge of driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled, or revoked. It is related to a burglary on January 16th in Riverside, where a wallet was stolen from a vehicle. Watkinson was taken to the Washington County Jail. Bond was set at $2,600 cash only.
