Mid-Prairie junior Isaac Boucher has been able to keep his run at the state tournament alive by working through the backside of the consolation bracket at 195lbs in class 2A.

After suffering a loss in his first match in Des Moines, the junior has rebounded to win three straight matches, taking out Treyton Burnkiel of Crestwood 11-10, No. 5 Caleb Olson of Webster City 16-9 and Joel Osborn of Humboldt 12-9. After working so hard to keep his tournament going, Boucher now is guaranteed to finish no worse than sixth place, securing a medal. In his next match he gets a shot at revenge, facing No. 4 Dalton Chipp of Hampton Dumont a second time, the wrestler who beat him in his first match of the tournament. Boucher will wrestle as part of consolation action during the day Saturday.
