Here is an update from Championship Saturday at the State Wrestling meet in Des Moines

At 195lbs Mid-Prairie’s Isaac Boucher takes home sixth place as he dropped his final match of the tournament to Noah Bandstra of East Marshall

At 113lbs Sigourney-Keota’s Mason Dye took home fifth place as he knocked off Cullen Koedam of West Sioux Hawarden

At 132lbs Jarod Kadel of Columbus-Winfield-Mt. Union brought home sixth place as he was beaten by Luke Radeke of Vinton-Shellsburg by fall

At 145lbs Highland’s Brady Hahn finished in sixth place, dropping his final match to Michael Egan of MFL Mar Mac

Later on tonight, Washington’s Tristin Westphal will wrestle for the class 2A state title at 182lbs as he takes on No. 1 Kyler Fisher of Southeast Valley Gowrie.
