
Des Moines is hosting the Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament, which is entering its final day today. Area wrestlers still competing include, in Class 2A, Tristin Westphal-Edwards of Washington, who is advancing to the championship after a sudden victory Friday night.
Also, Highland’s Brady Hahn, Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union’s Jarod Kadel, and Sigourney-Keota’s Mason Dye were beaten in the semifinals and will be in the consolation bracket.
In the consolation bracket Mid-Prairie’s Isaac Boucher is continuing in the tournament. WACO’s Jalen Collins and Washington’s Logan Escher were eliminated.
