The Iowa Mennonite School girls basketball team had their season draw to a close Wednesday in the regional quarterfinal round of the class 1A playoffs, falling at No. 5 Lynnville-Sully 56-42. 

This was a rematch of the season opener for IMS where they fell to the Hawks by 45. In round two, IMS led most of the first quarter before Lynnville would catch them and take a slim 12-9 lead after one. The Hawks methodically pulled away most of the rest of the night, up nine at half and 17 after three quarters. Lynnville-Sully would eventually build a lead of 21 before IMS made a push in the fourth quarter to cut the advantage to 11 but would get no closer down the stretch. IMS was held to 31% shooting and 18% from the three point line. The Hawks also outrebounded IMS by 21. Suzanna Yoder led the way for Iowa Mennonite with 20 points. Mia Graber added 12. With the loss, IMS wraps up their season at 10-11.
