Washington is home to a new champion. At the Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament, Tristin Westphal-Edwards took gold Saturday night at 182 pounds in Class 2A. He won by decision 6-5, and went undefeated on the season.
Sigourney-Keota’s Mason Dye finished in fifth place. Mid-Prairie’s Isaac Boucher, Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union’s Jarod Kadel, and Highland’s Brady Hahn all finished in sixth place in their respective weight classes.
