The Washington boys basketball team wrapped up their season Thursday in the second round of the class 3A substate tournament, falling to No. 5 ranked Oskaloosa by a 78-53 score. 

The Demons hung tough in the first half, trailing 19-13 after one quarter and 41-29 at the half. The third quarter belonged to the Indians as they embarked on a 24-5 run that lasted the entire frame, stretching their lead to 31. Washington was led in the loss by Luke Turner with 15 points. The Demons say goodbye to five seniors including Cade Hennigan, Kolten Hinrichsen, Caleb Suchan, Markell Stuart and Chase McDole. Washington wraps up their year at 9-10 overall.
