The Lone Tree School District announced their plan to make up time lost due to winter weather. So far this year, Lone Tree has missed 12 days due to winter weather, and had another six affected with either a delayed start or early dismissal. The Lone Tree School Board approved starting the school day 15 minutes earlier starting on March 4th, adding March 15th as a full school day, and removing early dismissals on March 27th, April 24th and May 22nd.
Lone Tree sent out a letter to parents stating they thought this was the best path to “ensure students get as much instructional time back and to also be flexible on the school end date.” The last day of school is scheduled to be May 31st.
