The Highland High School robotics team took home more hardware than they came with Saturday at the State Robotics Championships. The Finger Tightans finished fourth in their division and were one round away from competing in the event finals. The team was also recognized for their work promoting robotics in the community and earned the Motivate Award. As the Motivate Award recipients they are invited to compete in the World Robotics Championships in Detroit, Michigan in April.

The team includes Matt Butler, Makayla Cox, Samantha Cox, Emma Crossett, Lance Holden, Noah Holden, Lucas Holtquist, Nicole Lovetinsky, Jaden Schmidt, Emily Streb, Alex Tompkin, Luke Van Schoyck, and Ibrahim Zayed.
