The Sigourney girls’ basketball team ended their season with a 19-4 record and a championship for the eastern side of the South Iowa Cedar League.  They did that with a great defense.

The Savages were pretty much in the middle of the pack among Class 1A teams with 43.1 points per game.  But they ended the year with the just 718 points given up, an average of 31.2 points allowed per game, which is good for the fifth-best in Class 1A.

The vast majority of this Savage team will be returning next season after losing only Summer Barthelman and Ryleigh Leonard to graduation.
