A teenager is in the Washington County Jail for distributing drugs to someone under 18. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 3:43 p.m. Saturday, an officer arrested 19-year-old Carlos Alberto Zamora who was wanted out of Washington County for distribution violation to a person under the age of 18 and possession of a controlled substance – marijuana first offense. Bond was set at $26,000 cash only. This is related to an incident on December 27, 2018, when authorities responded to the 600 block of West Adams Street in Washington after someone told officials about a marijuana smell coming from an apartment. Washington Police responded and cited Zamora into court with charges pending per DCI lab results for possession of a controlled substance. At that time, a juvenile was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and had possession charges pending per lab results.
