A phone scam has been happening in Henry County. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, a resident reported a call from people claiming to be from the U.S. Marshall’s Office. The caller then told the resident they were a victim of identity fraud in an attempt to gain personal information. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says phone scams are not limited to this method and wants to remind the public to never give out personal information over the phone.
