The Highland boys’ basketball team got four players named, in one capacity or another, to the all-conference teams for the Southeast Iowa Superconference’s north division.
The Lasek brothers, Trey and Zach, were both named to the first team. Trey, despite missing a good chunk of his senior campaign with an ankle injury, finished in the top five in the conference in assists while also finishing with an average of 12.5 points per game. Zach was a monster on both sides of the ball in his junior season, leading the conference in both rebounds (222 total) and scoring (20.5 ppg).
Mason McFarland earned a second-team honor. The junior was a contributor in all facets, finishing second on the team in total points, steals, and assists while placing third in rebounds. His 42 percent clip from three-point range was second-best in the conference.
Senior Brody Burton rounds out the Husky selections as an honorable mention. He finished second on the team in total rebounds (96) and was the top thief on the Husky squad with 35 steals on the season.
