winter-county-fair-2019

The first ever Washington Winter County Fair is this evening. Unlike the week-long summer county fair with hundreds of participants, livestock, and projects, this one-night event will be a social gathering for fair friends to see each other without contest deadlines and chores. The inaugural event will benefit the Washington County Fair Association and Washington County 4-H. The evening at the KC Hall includes dinner, drinks, a 50/50 raffle, and a chainsaw art auction. Due to a storm last July during the fair, the chainsaw art auction was unable to be held. The funds from that auction help cover the 4-H costs. So the chainsaw art will be up for bid tonight. Tickets were available in advance through the Washington County Extension Office.
