lone-tree4-6

The Lone Tree boys’ basketball team ended their season at 8-11 with a loss in the first round to WACO, the eventual district champs.  While their record may not have been the best, there was one category they were best in.

As a team, the Lions were tops in the Southeast Iowa Superconference’s north division in total rebounds with 744; 96 more than Highland, the second-place team.  Lone Tree had two individual performers who finished in the top six in the conference in Keegan Edwards and Caleb Viers, who had 155 and 125 rebounds on the year, respectively. Viers and four of his teammates will be graduating at the end of the year, but Edwards and the rest of the team will be back a season from now.
