Mid-Prairie is looking to make close to a half-a-million dollars worth of improvements this summer. Superintendent Mark Schneider requested permission from the school board to authorize spending for a total of six projects that will cost up to $497,000. The renovations include repairs to the middle school gym foundation, replacing the floor on the upper level of the high school, finishing kitchen renovations at the middle school, replacing the ventilators at West Elementary, switching all the lights in the high school to LED lights, and repairing the roof of the middle school. The district would use PPEL and SAVE funds to pay for these renovations. The school board approved of the work.
