Three area boys track and field teams got their year underway Tuesday at the Dickinson Indoor Relays at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.

Top finishes for the Columbus Wildcats included Mason Hodges 98th in the shot put, Felix Solis 111th in the 60m, and Jaime Villegas 112th in the 400. The 4×800 team was 55th and the 4×200 team was 62nd.

Top finishes for the Highland Huskies included Zack Lasek 56th in the shot put, Connor Grinstead 76th in the long jump, Trey Lasek 118th in the 200, Bryan Redlinger 140th in the 800 and 173rd in the 400 and Kadin Jepson 145th in the 60m. The Highland 4×200 team took 54th.

Top finishes for Winfield-Mt. Union included a 6th place finish in the 200 for Brandon Snowden. He followed that up with a 12th place finish in the 60m. Brody Barton was 93rd in the 400, Dane Sweezer 100th in the 60 hurdles, Noah Sparrow 123rd in the 800 and Jared Arnold 130th in the shot put. The Wolves 4×400 team placed 56th and the 4×200 team took 72nd.
